As a little girl, Hélène HERRMANN had a dream : “When I grow up, I’m going to breed horses in Creuse…” Her dream came true in 1982 when she moved to this horse-breeding area in Northern Limousin, a few miles from Guéret, with her first stallion, CALICE II, with whom she had just won a brilliant 2 place in the Anglo-Arab Championships. Her first brood mares were Anglo-Arabs, producing both race-bred and Selle Français offspring
Passion and skill in the service of genetics
Hélène HERRMANN’s way of working hinges on these three words. She has created a wonderful foundation, always looking for quality, intelligence and performance in her Anglo-Arab and Selle Français brood mares alike, choosing judicious outcrossings and rearing her foals with the greatest care.
For her 15 mares, she has picked DIAMANT DE SEMILLY, KANNAN, DOLLAR DE LA PIERRE, ALLIGATOR FONTAINE, RYON D'ANZEIX, SARASTRO, QUICK STAR, VOLTAIRE, together with her 3 stallions — 2 Anglo-Arabs, QU'EMIR and ROSALION, and one Selle Français, SEMOUR DE SAVINIA.
Hélène HERRMANN has good reason to be proud of being well placed alongside renowned breeders in the Palmarès de l’Eperon for several years now.
“Champeix” horses shine in both Complete and CSO on all kinds of going.
In 2003, one of the Selle Français stallions qualified for the Stallion Final at Saint Lô.
4 Anglo-Arabs for the Final at Pompadour, and 4 were selected for the FENCES sales.
